Festivals in Arizona

Arizona's unique blend of residents bring a wide variety of cultures and sub-cultures to our great State. With these vibrant cultures, comes great creativity, pride and enthusiasm that results in celebrations and Festivals. So much so, that it seems that there is always a Festival of one kind or another happening somewhere in Arizona.

One of the more popular Festivals is the Renaissance Festival, where you can step back in time into the days of olde - a time of chivalrous knights, fair damsels and court jesters. In this seven week long ode to the olden times, you can eat oversized turkey drumsticks and a flagon of ale, try your skill at archery and feats of strength -- even cheer on your favorite jouster in the live jousting tournament. You can also meet Twig the Fairy, purchase a flowered garland for your favorite damsel's hair, or even stop by a fortune teller's hut. Gifted artists and artisans abound plying their wares, while troubadours and bards stroll the streets telling tales of yore. Whatever your fancy, The Renaissance Festival has something for everyone to enjoy.

During any holiday season, you can usually find many festivals in full flair during the weekend. Whatever the season, whatever the day, you're bound to find a celebration breaking out in one of our fair cities.

Other festivals include Fine Art and Wine Festivals. Southwest and Native American (Indian) art fairs Culinary (including Arizona's famous Chili cook off) also abound all year round.

Western enthusiasts will enjoy Festivals like the annual Cowboy and Indian Days in Casa Grande or the Shootout at the Caparall Old Tuscon and mining festivals like the Old Dutchman Days in Apache Junction.

For those with a taste of the exotic Orient, Arizona also boasts several annual festivals featuring Japanese and Chinese heritage and art.

Get your Celt on and bring your shalalee for the annual St. Patrick's day Parade and Irish faire.

Arizona features a rich variety of annual Music Festivals. Everything from the industry headliners at Country Thunder to Bluegrass to jazz, symphony, string quartets, Rock and R&B. Whatever beat you march to, Arizona has a music festival that is bound to be in tune with you.
